On day one, plots worth Rs20 billion were auctioned, whereas on Thursday, 11 more plots worth Rs17 billion were auctioned off.
“This is a historical auction as CDA never ever received such an overwhelming response,” said an official of the civic agency, adding from 2019 onwards, CDA’s auctions have been witnessing upward trends.
The auction was overseen by an auction committee headed by CDA member finance. According to a press release, chairman of the authority Amer Ali Ahmed appreciated effective steps taken by the committee.
On both days of the auction, 24 commercial plots of different developed sectors of Islamabad including Blue Area and Diplomatic Enclave were auctioned for Rs37.9 billion.
